Most of us don’t have the time and money to dedicate to supporting our 2nd Amendment rights. And be certain that if we don’t actively defend these rights they will be taken away and once they’re gone there’s little hope of getting them back!
Thankfully we have several gun rights advocate groups that dedicate their time and energy to defending our rights so we can continue to exercise them. I strongly urge you to consider joining one or more of them so that you can have your voice heard and when we pool even our meager donations they add up to do what we can’t do on our own!
National Rifle Association (NRA)
The National Rifle Association was founded in 1871 to help ensure that our troops received proper marksmanship training. Today the NRA offers an incredible wealth of services and materials to help encourage safe and effective use of firearms for recreation, hunting, competition and self-defense. I can’t urge you strong enough to join TODAY!
NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA)
The ILA branch of the NRA is a lobbying group whose purpose is to follow, and if necessary act upon, any issue that might effect firearm ownership and use. They work hard to ensure that Americans keep the full extent and measure of our 2nd Amendment rights as our founding fathers intended. I urge you to sign up for their new alerts so you have the chance to keep up to date with what’s going on around the country and sign petitions when asked to lend your voice of support. And it wouldn’t hurt to donate when you can!
National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR)
The NAGR lists itself as the “fastest growing gun rights group in America.” They were founded in 2001 as a civil rights advocacy organization dedicated to lobbying for legislation at both the state and federal levels.
Gun Owners of America (GOA)
Gun Owners of America (GOA) is a non-profit lobbying organization formed in 1975 to preserve and defend the Second Amendment rights of gun owners. GOA sees firearms ownership as a freedom issue. The GOA Board of Directors brings over 100 years of combined knowledge and experience on guns, legislation and politics. GOA’s Board is not satisfied with the “status quo.” Americans have lost some of our precious gun rights and WE WANT THEM BACK! This is why GOA is considered the “no compromise” gun lobby.
Armed Citizens United (ACU)
Grass Roots NC (GRNC)
Those of us living in North Carolina have the GRNC to advocate for us when it comes to defending our constitutional freedoms. They are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization whose main focus is protecting our “individual right to keep and bear arms.”
